Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

A question about tiles, vinyl, bathrooms, an appointment or our showroom? Find a quick answer below — search or pick a topic.

General

Do you work with professionals?

Absolutely. We’re happy to work with contractors, installers and tilers, and we have a trusted floor layer. Are you a professional yourself? See our Business page or ask in the showroom.

Can I order online?

No, and that’s on purpose. You really want to see and feel a floor or tile before choosing. The website is for inspiration; in the showroom we help you personally.

Which brands do you carry?

A broad range of tile and vinyl brands, from affordable to exclusive — such as Flaviker, Cercom, Isla and The Art of Living. So there’s something for every taste and budget.

Can I take a sample home?

Often yes. Ask in the showroom for a sample of the tile or vinyl floor you have in mind, so you can assess it at home in your own light and interior.

Tiles

Are your tiles suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. Ceramic tiles conduct heat excellently and are ideal in combination with underfloor heating.

Can I use tiles on both the wall and the floor?

Many of our collections are suitable for both floor and wall, so you can create a beautiful, seamless look. We’re happy to advise per collection.

Do you lay the tiles yourselves?

We supply the tiles and are happy to advise you. For installation we work with a trusted, experienced floor layer — we’re glad to put you in touch. Prefer your own installer? That’s fine too.

Which tile sizes can I choose?

From 30×60 to large-format 120×280 cm. Popular sizes are 60×60, 80×80, 90×90, 100×100 and 120×120 cm.

What is the delivery time for tiles?

We import our tiles directly from Italy, so expect a delivery time of about 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the collection and availability.

What does laying a tile floor cost?

That depends on the area, the size and the laying pattern. Our trusted floor layer is happy to provide a tailored quote — just ask in the showroom.

Are your tiles suitable for the bathroom?

Yes. Ceramic tiles are water- and moisture-resistant, making them ideal for the bathroom. For the floor we recommend an anti-slip variant (with an R-rating) to keep it safe.

Vinyl

Vinyl or tiles: which is better for me?

Both are great choices — it depends on comfort, room and taste. Our inspiration blog has a detailed comparison: ‘Tiles or vinyl: which suits you?’.

Do you lay the vinyl floor?

We work with a trusted, experienced floor layer whom we’re happy to recommend. Prefer your own installer? That’s perfectly fine too.

Is vinyl water-resistant, even in the bathroom?

Vinyl resists moisture and splashing water well. For a full wet room we recommend the right type and finish — feel free to ask us for advice.

Can vinyl go over my existing floor?

Often yes, provided the subfloor is flat, dry and stable. We’ll advise you on the preparation and the right underlay.

Is vinyl suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes, most of our vinyl floors are suitable for underfloor heating. Glue-down vinyl conducts the heat best.

What is the difference between click and glue-down vinyl?

Click vinyl is laid floating and quickly, ideal if you may want to change it later. Glue-down vinyl is fully bonded: extra stable, quiet and very suitable for large areas and underfloor heating.

Is vinyl scratch-resistant and pet-friendly?

Vinyl has a strong protective layer and resists scratches and daily use well — also with pets. Do use felt pads under furniture and keep pets’ nails trimmed.

How do I maintain a vinyl floor?

Vinyl is wonderfully low-maintenance: vacuuming or sweeping and occasionally mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner is enough. No waxing or coating needed.

Bathrooms

What does a complete bathroom cost?

That varies greatly by design and material choice. The price indications with our designs cover the materials; together we tailor the design and your budget.

Can I get a custom bathroom design?

Yes. Based on your floor plan and wishes we create a design that suits your space, style and budget.

Can I also buy individual items?

Absolutely. You can also buy individual items from us, for example just tiles, a vanity unit or taps.

Do you also handle the bathroom installation?

We take care of the design and supply all the materials. The installation is done by your own contractor — so you stay in control and choose who does the work. Of course we’re happy to advise.

How long does a bathroom renovation take?

On average 1 to 2 weeks for the work, depending on the scope and the contractor. We take care of the design and materials; you arrange the planning with your installer.
